Abstract

Movement disorders may appear after cerebrovascular events. Chorea is the most common movement disorders seen after the basal ganglia and the thalamic lesions. The sudden onset of the chorea suggests vascular events (ischemia, hemorrhage, vascular malformations ). A 75 -year-old female patient, who had acute choreiform movements on the right hand which had a spontaneous remmision in 24 hours after globus pallidus infarction is presented in this case.
